Mac QB Office Pool 2.5 Shareware

･ﾊMac QB Office Pool allows you to run you pool for a total of 5 weeks.  During the 6th week it will close down its entry routines.  When you send in your registration fee and receive the latest version of The Mac Quarterback, it will convert your shareware file with all the data intact.  You can then continue the pool using the same file.

Mac QB Office Pool is the same application as The Mac Quarterback.  All the options and functions are fully operational during the 5 week usage period.  However, the Read Special Picks under the Pool Menu will not be relevant until you receive the Player Edition in the Mac Quarterback 2.5 package.

The 5 week limit is for the actual number of weeks you have entered picks.  Entering the schedule does not affect the 5 week limit.  Therefore, you can enter the schedule for the entire season, if you like.

Beginning Your Pool:  You may begin your pool by opening Starter Pool or NFL Schedule 1996, another starter file but with the complete 17 week NFL schedule entered.  Or you can click Cancel at the Open Files Dialog window.  Mac QB Office Pool will create a temporary blank file called New File.

Enter your pool settings and save the file with any name you like.

If you start a second file, any weeks you enter picks in that file will be added to the number of weeks in the first file.  Therefore, if you have two files, the limit will be 3 weeks for the first and 2 weeks for the second.

･ CAUTION: Do not create a New File to practice making entries, etc..  Mac QB Office Pool will consider it a real file and count the weeks you've entered as part of the 5 week usuage limit.  Trashing the file will not reset the time limit.

If you are going to practice using Mac QB Office Pool, practice with one of the demo files.  You can change paramaters, options, make entries, etc. with a demo fileﾉ but you can not save the changes.

･ If you have obtained Mac QB Office Pool after the season has started and want to begin with a week other than week #1, do the following:

1. Enter a bogus schedule of one game for each of the weeks you wish to skip.
2. Enter the scores for the first week.  This will activate the Change Scores item in the Pool Menu.
3. Choose Change Scores from the Pool Menu and select the last week you want to skip.
4. Enter the scores for that week.

Mac QB Office Pool will now begin your pool at the next week.  Skipping weeks will not affect the 5 week usage limit.

If you are using the NFL   for your pool, you can import the schedule for the year from NFL Schedule 96.  Make the  beginning week the first week of your pool, not week #1.  For example, if you are beginning your pool in week #6, you want the schedule for weeks 6-17.
